So. I am writing my first ever blog. I have so many ideas in my head, but they aren’t jumping out at me when I start typing. I am unsure what to use for the first one, so I will start typing about the picture, and hopefully the ideas will flow. The picture above represents some of my favourite record company labels, albums etc. Some of the labels and albums are pretty iconic. Can anyone name the albums and record companies shown? These all have a special place in my heart as they bring me back to those teenage days when music was (mostly) all that mattered. I didn’t have pay tv, so I didn’t get MTV or MuchMusic. I could watch Friday Night Videos and Good Rockin’ Tonight, and sometimes visit with my lucky friends that could get the pay stations.
In my High School back in the 80’s there were mostly 2 types that revolved around music. Rockers and Wavers. I listened to Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Def Leppard etc. Can you guess which group I fell into? Picture Judd Nelson in Breakfast Club. Long hair parted in middle, work boots, jeans, jean jacket. The only difference is I usually had a concert shirt on. The first day of High School I wore the coolest shirt ever. Led Zeppelin concert shirt. It had the winged angel, a Zeppelin, and the symbols that represent the band members. Walking down the hall I was a nervous little man surrounded by big dudes, but when one of them said “nice shirt”, I didn’t feel so scared. I remember my cousin commenting about that shirt. She said Zoso should have been so so, but she was a waver, so what did she know.
In future posts I will review albums and concerts, relive the past, write about stereo equipment, perform how to’s, and maybe if I am lucky interview some musicians.
Hopefully I didn’t bore you, and I hope you continue reading my blog.
Thanks,
Boppin
Looking forward to your concert reviews and audio finds. You may as well re-post your Queen and Fleetwood Mac reviews here to get started!

Haha. I might be in trouble with Sarca’s copyright lawyers though.

This all sounds very intriguing, but what I really want to know: do you still have that t-shirt? (I’ve come to understand that guys can keep concert t-shirts until the disintegrate…and even then :)).

Guys do . However I wore that one so much, that I wore it out. Now I wear my concert shirts only on special occasions, such as weddings, etc.
When the invitation says black formal attire, I get my best concert shirts out.
